Life Is Funny? That Way

Categories: Life

I had been planning on this huge post about how my landlords decided to refinish their floor during a crunch time at work (the sound of a belt sander coming through the ceiling above your office is an amazingly loud thing). I also had plans to talk about how my family was here at the same time and how my younger brother's logical thought processes are something to behold. Then I was going to talk about how my plumbing backed up and resulted in sewer water coming out of my shower drain and spilling all over my bathroom floor. To finish it off I was going to mention the fact that my email was down for the entire week and I just noticed it yesterday.

Then someone asked me to pray for their father who is in a really bad way medically right now, and suddenly last week didn't seem so bad.

life is funny like that.  thank you for sharing that, as i needed to read that myself.

i find it funny, when my world seems to be falling apart i always find someone who is going through something so much greater than what i am deal with.  makes my troubles look small in comparison.

i, too, will send up a prayer for your friends’ father.

i hope you are well, friend.

I’m doing pretty good.  Just a little behind in my work.

How is life for you?

A little stress is good I think.  :) And I’m sure my friend will appreciate the prayers.  You can never have too many people praying for you.

Perspective is a wonderful thing. I was thinking about writing a blog and whining again about my ever so busy schedule too. Now I think I’ll go and write about something a bit more light and humble. I hope your friend gets well.

Please add my dad to your prayers too!  Like mine, his name is also Mike Caskey.  He was just diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer, so his time here with us is more limited than we would have hoped.  Also pray for my mom, Floss Caskey.  She needs comfort.  Thanks guys!

Michael,

I’m so sorry to hear that.  Your mom and dad will definitely be in my prayers.  I’ll get my parents praying too, if they aren’t already.

though i do not personally know you - praise God that doesn’t stop our prayers from being heard.

i will send up prayers for you and your family during this time.

grace be with you,

This is totally off-topic, but I just wanted to say how slick your site is.  Good job.
