Triops Journaling

Categories: EducationLifeTechnologyWriting

image

My students have started a journal/blog on the triops that we have in our classroom.  Triops are a crustacean left over from the triassic period.  They look a little like the face huggers from the Alien movies.  Quite a fun experiment and wonderful opportunity to get my students writing and taking pictures in a more formal and, in my opinion, a more authentic manner than the writing assignments students are often given.

The picture above is not one of our triops because ours are still too small to see with a Digital Camera.  There are many more pictures from the same source as the one above so you might want to check them out.
