An icon, splash screen, and logo for the open source Chinese language learning tool zdt. The designs will go into use when the next version of zdt is released.
The usual combination of Freehand and Photoshop were involved in the creation of the designs. Mac and PC versions of the icons were provided to the client as well as a reworked version of the splash screen to use as a website header.

An icon I made for the open source network protocol analyzer Ethereal.
As usual the icon was started in Freehand MX and finished off in Photoshop CS2.
The icon is for Mac OS X only (128x128 pixels). If you are on another system a perfectly usable 64x64 pixel icon already exists.

This is a set of Peanuts icons I made for personal use after discovering that there were no quality icons of the Peanuts characters available for Mac OS X (There are some great ones for OS 9 that were done by the iconfactory). I originally hadn’t done Schroeder so I never considered the set complete. On top of that there was an issue with the colors that occurred when they were converted from CMYK (Freehand) to RGB (Photoshop) so I had always wanted to fix that as well. I’m happy to note that this has all been fixed.
The icons were drawn by hand into Macromedia Freehand (Still my favorite drawing application) using a Wacom graphics tablet. They were then brought into Photoshop CS2 and converted into icons using the IconBuilder Pro plugin from the iconfactory.
These icons are provided as is. They come with no warranty and cost nothing. They were not made as an attempt to break any laws or cause anyone trouble. If you own the copyright to these comic characters and do not want them used in this free icon set let me know and I will remove them immediately.
The Mac OS X version will work on any version from 10.0 on up. They should also work on OS 9 but I have not tested them so you may have success in that area and you may not.
The Windows XP version was created as an after thought mainly prompted from the fact that I get a lot of hits to the site from Windows people looking for Peanuts icons. I don’t use a Windows PC and didn’t have the motivation to make them look good at all resolutions. That said, I’ve tested them on at least one computer and they look fine as long as you have your monitor set to Millions of colors.
Enjoy the icons.
